House of Chairs

An online showroom for one-of-a-kind vintage designer chairs and furniture.

The story

House of Chairs sells vintage designer furniture, chairs above all, where every piece is one of one. The site is built to be the place social posts send people: each piece loads fast on a phone with its photos, condition and price up front, and an enquiry is always one tap away instead of a checkout. Sellers can also offer pieces to the shop, and staff manage everything from their own dashboard.

The clever bit

A calm, editorial design system with quiet line-drawn chair illustrations that stand in until photography lands, all managed from the owner's dashboard.

What it does
  • Shop by era and category
  • One-of-one piece pages with plain condition notes and price
  • Fast enquiry flow always one tap away
  • 'Sell to us' submissions
  • Staff dashboard to manage pieces and toggle page sections
  • Built for strong search engine visibility
For
